Former Senator Isaac Mwaura has welcomed his appointment as the new government Spokesperson.
In a tweet on X, Mwaura thanked the President and his deputy for the appointment that will see him fill the position that was left vacant by Colonel (Retired) Cyrus Oguna who had served in the position from May 2019, resigned in October 2022, to take up the position of Chief of Staff for Siaya Governor James Orengo.
”Glory be to GOD! HE is indeed so very faithful to those who wait upon HIM. What GOD has kept for you HE will surely make it come to pass no matter how long!” Mwaura posted.

Mwaura will be deputized by Ms. Mwanaisha Chidzuga and Gabriel Muthuma
Mwaura had been suspended after President Ruto nominated him to serve as Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
