The prime cabinet Secretary and foreign and diaspora affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi has welcomed his expanded role in the latest cabinet reshuffle.
Musalia has thanked president Ruto for the new additional responsibility and the confidence to lead the two dockets
”I pledge to continue serving the people of Kenya and our country with unwavering commitment, integrity, and diligence I will champion, pursue, and protect the interests of Kenyans, both within our borders and abroad.” Mudavadi said.
In a tweet on X Musalia has said that he is privy to the significance of the dual role, and vowed to ” embrace the opportunity with a profound sense of duty and dedication.

In a dispatch to newsrooms last evening, Ruto stripped Alfred Mutua of the foreign service docket and assigned him the Tourism and wildlife ministry which was headed by now Arid and Semi Arid cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza.
Mutua is handing over the docket when there has been discourse on the welfare of migrant workers in the Middle East with the worst cases of death being reported and the latest deployment of Kenyan officers to combat criminal gangs in Haiti.
The additional role to Musalia will also stamp his position in the government amid clamors that his office is unconstitutional
Ruto has however Noted that the reorganization in the government will ensure optimized performance and service delivery in achieving the Bottom up economic agenda.
