Kalonzo: I Will Attend The Azimio Interview

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has countered his earlier made sentiments, where he said he will not attend the interview to find the suitable candidate who will deputize Raila Odinga come 9th of August.

According to a statement released by the Odinga’s press Campaign secretary Dennis Onsarigo, Kalonzo will appear in the 7-member bench on Tuesday, May 10,


“Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to be interviewed at 9am this morning by the Azimio La Umoja DP selection panel; the panel to handover its findings to the party leader later this week,” Onsarigo said.

The selection panel had shortlisted several candidates from a list of 20 applicants, among them Musyoka, Sabina Chege (Jubilee Party), Martha Karua (NARC Kenya), Charity Ngilu (NARC), Peter Kenneth (Jubilee Party) Gideon Moi (KANU) Ali Hassan Joho (ODM) and Stephen Tarus (National Liberal Party).

Others are Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, deputy ODM leader Wyicliffe Oparanya and Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
