Ruto says no one found occupying land illegally will be forcefully evicted

Residents found occupying parcels of land unlawfully will be evicted decently, President William Ruto has assured as he stormed Kayole junction area of Embakasi central  on his fourth day of inspection of development projects in Nairobi county.

President William Ruto has condemned forceful eviction of residents in parts of the country in the wake of an ongoing court case pitting the Kirima family and settlers of Chokaa estate  who have been accused of settling there illegally.

According to Ruto, residents found to be occupying land illegally must be allocated land before eviction

”Tumesema, atakama mtu ameweka makao mahali amabapo sio pake serikali haitaruhusu wengine wafurushwe bila heshima,” Ruto said

Ruto’s statement comes hours after the The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC)notified residents in Komarock to vacate KPLC land they are occupying unlawfully within the next three months.

The lighting company has warned the residents that if they failed to vacate the land, remove any buildings or other structures that may have been erected there and uproot crops  within stipulated time, they would be forcefully evicted.

KPLC stated that the notice is vide a court ruling by the Milimani Environment and Land Court.

President Ruto further took his unity calls to Kayole urging the locals to rally behind the broad based agreement with former prime minister Raila Odinga

The head of state has said his regime will not sideline any political leader despite their  political affiliations urging for a cohesive approach in delivering services to kenyans.

According to Ruto, the Embakasi central constituency led by former DP Rigathi Gachagua ally will not be neglected over MP Gathiru Mwangi’s  political stance
