Amadi, Nyachae among 11 shortlisted for IEBC chairperson post

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has shortlisted the former Judge of the East African Court, Charles Nyachae and the immediate former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Anne Amadi among other 11 persons for the position of chairperson.

The Selection Panel for the recruitment of nominees says the Amadi and Nyachae are part of the first batch scheduled for oral interviews from  Monday, March 24, 2025 while others take the hot seat on Tuesday the 25 and  Wednesday the 26th of  March 26, 2025, at the College of Insurance in South C, Nairobi.

Others in the first batch include Abdulqadir Lorot H. Ramadhan, and Edward Katama Ngeywa.

The Selection Panel has also invited the public to submit written memoranda on the suitability of any shortlisted candidate to serve as IEBC Chairperson or Member.

The chairperson of the Selection Panel, Nelson Makanda further noted that interviews for the six vacant IEBC Member positions will commence on Thursday, March 27, 2025, and run until Thursday, April 24, 2025.
