R. Valley & Central tops in regions Kenyans are unable to make ends meet

More than half of Kenyans are struggling to make ends meet.

A report by Infotrak shows that 55 percent of Kenyans cannot fend for themselves in the wake of tough economic times.

The survey also shows that 18 percent of Kenyans are in severe financial distress while only 5 per cent are comfortably managing the situation.

The research conducted to over  1,500 respondents showed that Some 22 percent are neither struggling nor comfortable.

Topping the list of Kenyans struggling, 73 percent hailed from the Rift Valley and 78 from central Kenya.\

Kenyans aged 18-26 years and those above 55 recorded the highest population by age of those struggling at 77 per cent.

The survey was conducted between December 18 and 19 last year.
