Deputy President-Elect Rigathi Gachagua says today marks the beginning of the journey of economic liberation for Kenya.
Addressing the press from his Karen residence earlier today, he noted that the William-Ruto government will focus on improving the livelihoods of Kenyans through service delivery.
Rigathi says the Ruto led government will support all Kenyans, by empowering small and medium sized businesses and creating job opportunities which will in turn create wealth for the country.
“Kenyans are hardworking people. All they need is a good environment. Dr. William Ruto and I have a plan for Kenya. We want the people of Kenya to be free to do business, afford healthcare,” said Gachagua.
He then assured that Azimio coalition leader Raila Odinga he will be accorded his rightful place and respect as the head of the opposition.
Gachagua challenged Odinga who announced he will not be attending the presidential inauguration to lead his team in performing their role as the opposition to ensure the new government performs its mandate diligently.
He said Dr Ruto’s administration will be happy to have a working opposition and they will accord him his due respect as a senior citizen and they expect him to lead opposition to keep the incoming government in check.
