Sonko Rescue Team Has Relocated to Mombasa

The Sonko rescue team has relocated to Mombasa city on what they dub as due to public demand from the Mombasa county residents.

In a statement, the rescue team will commence its operations in the coastal town in bid to aid Sonko’s campaign for the top job ahead of the August polls.

The Nairobi Ex governor, launched his bid to contest for the Mombasa governor seat under the Kalonzo Musyoka led Wiper Party. However, he has been subjected to intense resistance from the residents, who say he does not have any roots from the region.

On his part, Sonko has since tried to prove from his origin from the island, with holding a prayer meeting at a local cemetery where his mother was allegedly buried.

The Sonko rescue team was operational in Nairobi while he was in office. Under his leadership, the SRT would clean up sewerages, ferry water to areas with water shortages and ambulance services.

The former governor promises to eradicate poverty and drug abuse in Coast.

“We are going to deal with issues of poor drainage and poverty even before the elections. We are going to use the Sonko rescue team to do what we did in Nairobi,” he says.
