ODM leader Raila Odinga

Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga has cut short his US trip and will jet back to the country on Wednesday ahead of preparations for the the burial of the late former president Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki.

Odinga who arrived in the US on Saturday held separate meetings with the UN special Advisor Ms. Alice Wairimu Nderitu on prevention of Genocide, and former US Ambassador to Kenya Michael Ranneberger.

The leader was set to hold meetings in Washington DC, as well as further business networking meetings in San Francisco.

Together with his delegation, Raila was also scheduled to meet with leaders in the Information Technology space.

Central to this trip, was Raila’s efforts to strengthen ties between Kenya and the US, promote the business partnership and agenda between the two nations and bolster foreign policy.
