Kenya rugby sevens team arrive in Uganda

The Kenya rugby sevens squad has arrived in Uganda for the Africa sevens tournament.

Head Coach Innocent Simiyu has named the Kenya men’s national rugby sevens squad for this weekend’s Rugby Africa Men’s 7s in Kampala, Uganda.

Nelson Oyoo captains the side that features former Kenya U20 international Amon Wamalwa who will be making his debut in Shujaa colors .

Overall, Simiyu has retained eight players from the squad that featured at the just concluded World Rugby Sevens Series legs in Singapore and Vancouver respectively, while including experienced playmaker Augustine Lugonzo, Alvin Otieno and Timothy Mmasi.

Lionesses Rugby Africa 7s squad
Head Coach Dennis Mwanja has named the Kenya women’s national rugby sevens squad for the Rugby Africa Womens 7s in Tunis, Tunisia on 29/30 April 2022.

Mwanja, in his first assignment in charge of the Lionesses, has included Japan based Janet Okello in the squad that will be out to reclaim the crown they lost to South Africa in 2019.
