The national police service has reported the death of police constable Husdson Mkondo and his wife constable Pauline Wakasa following a domestic altercation yesterday evening.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior says Hudson shot his wife and later turned the gun on himself following a suspected argument.
Hudson was serving as a guard to Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i, and had been off duty since April 1st 2021.
CS Matiang’i has since sent a message of condolence to the families of the two officers, mourning them as young and vibrant cops with their brilliant futures tragically ended.
Police say, they found the two bodies lying at the sitting room in a pool of blood.
The two bodies were transferred to Kenyatta University Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
