Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai is warning locals in Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Kajiado and Nakuru counties against inter-county locomotion.
While issuing a statement on the Covid-19 containment measures and crime management for the Easter holiday, he says police are on the look out.
As a result, the police service is erecting 33 roadblocks on all major roads leading into and out of the 5 counties. The will be guarding them day and night.
Moreover, Mutyambai says those responsible are; the National Government Administration Officers (NGAO), National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the Kenya Prisons Service.
He has however assured that the soft power approach will be in use as police execute their duties.
