Machakos governor decries the high cost of living facing Kenyans

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is decrying the high cost of living Kenyans are facing.

He is now urging leaders to help reduce the cost of living. In this regard, he is calling on industries like the Petroleum industry to reduce the costs of petrol and paraffin.

As a result, single business permits are witnessing a 50% waiver on wholesale and retail charges alongside parking fees.

In addition, fire licence and land subdivision are on a waiver.

Moreover, the governor is issuing a 100 % waiver on land rates and land arrears. He is reducing transport levy costs by 50%, and non-payment of fees on vegetable vendors, boda boda operators, tuk tuk and Maruti operators.
