Kenya records 184 COVID-19 recoveries and 18 deaths

Kenya has today recorded 184 Covid-19 recoveries.

95 from the Home-Care program and 89 from different hospitals.

However, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe says 1,540 new cases were recorded out of a sample size of 9,348.

The total number now stands at 124,707.

18 patients have succumbed, pushing the country’s cumulative fatalities to 2,066.

From the new cases, 1,446 are Kenyans while 94 are foreigners.

Gender wise, 829 are male while 711 are females. The youngest is a six-month-old child and the oldest is aged 110 years.

Meanwhile, the Nyeri county government has announced new measures as they seek to control the rising covid-19 infections with 1300 recorded cases, seeing 52 people dead.

Nyeri county governor Mutahi kahiga while addressing the press, he said all food handlers must be tested and certified before conducting businesses, all public gatherings and meetings have been suspended for the next 30 days and all county government staff aged 50 years and above should be considered to be given the covid-19 vaccine.
