Junior Starlets shift focus on Cameroon U-17 Women’s team in the third round of qualification.

Kenya Under-17 women’s team keep hope alive after qualifying for the next round of qualification in the 2025 Fifa U-17 World Cup after outplaying Uganda U-17 women’s team by 5-0 on aggregate.

A second half brace for Brenda Achieng and a goal from Patience Asiko was enough to guide the Junior starlets sail through the third round of qualification.

Speaking after a convincing 3-0 win in the second leg at the Nyayo National Stadium,, Junior Starlets head coach Mildred Cheche remarked on the next task ahead against Cameroon U-17 women’s team.

“I acknowledge the players and the technical team for the qualification in the next round.”

“We now shift our focus on Cameroon, a tough side, but we will prepare for the crucial fixture,” Cheche added.

At the same time, Junior Starlets captain Halima Imbachi, reflects on the qualification.

“As players, we are ready to fight for the country. We thank the fans who have shown their support.”

“The next assignment against Cameroon will be a tough one, but we have a great technical team led by the coach, and we believe we will emerge victorious against Cameroon,” Halima added.
