President William Ruto has blasted his former deputy Rigathi Gachagua accusing him of spearheading tribal politics and division among Kenyans .
Ruto has said his administration will not entertain incompetent leaders, adding that the broad based approach is meant to have the Kenya Kwanza cake shared among all Kenyans
He was speaking during the Launch of Lower Nzoia Irrigation Project In Busia County.
“Kenya hatutaki tena migawanyiko na chuki na ukabila. Tuungane tuwe team moja. Huyu Wanjala alichaguliwa na ODM na ni mtu wakusumbua huyu ndugu yangu Otwoma tulichaguliwa mirengo tofauti lakini sasa tumeamua sisi ni team moja. Tutafanya kazi pamoja tuhakikishe tunasomesha watoto wenu, tunawasidia kwa kilimo, tunaunganisha stima, tunapanga maendeleo ndio Kenya iweze kusonga mbele. Hatuna haja na biashara ya migawanyiko, chuki au ukabila,” Ruto said.
He was accompanied by among other leaders Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
The National Assembly majority leader Kimani Ichungwa also hit at the former DP accusing him of hoodwinking the central region locals for his personal gain.
The President and his principal assistant are on a five-day extensive tour of the Western Kenya region.
Wednesday is the third day of the visit.
