Kajiado county outlaws nane nane march as youth urged to refrain violence

Kajiado County Commissioner James Taari has banned any form of protests planned for tomorrow within the devolved unit and ordered all bars and entertainment joints in Kitengela to close by 11pm tonight.

addressing the Kitengela Business Community in a meeting also attended by Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, Taari said they had marshaled enough security manpower to ensure nobody looted businesses under the pretext of anti- government protests.

Meanwhile ODM leaders in Nairobi have asked the youth to consider calling off tomorrow’s anti-government protests.

Flanked by Nairobi ODM chair  Makadara MP George Aladwa, the leaders urged planners of the Nane Nane protests to tell Gen Z to keep off the streets.

Instead the leaders have called on the youth to give President William Ruto time to address their concerns.

Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli has assured police preparedness to maintain peace across the country Chiming in from Embu President William Ruto strongly appealed to Kenyans to reject any demonstrations that may threaten the country’s peace.

President Ruto called on organizers of the Nane Nane March to refrain from violence, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability.
