Following the death of two Meru county locals over flash floods and heavy downpour that are being experienced nationwide, the Ministry of Health has called upon members of the public to report any El Nino like incidences.
“Report any #ElNino related incidences immediately through the hotlines 0719 0729471414 or 0732353535” MOH tweeted.
The ministry has released a toll free number where all members of the public would report any occurrences for swift and early response.
This is as Isolo residents are still in search of a driver who is reported to have been swept by a raging flood on the roads.
Mombasa residents have also faced heavy rains occasioned with Flash floods cutting off roads and submerging vehicles.
Many road users have been forced to abandon their cars and use motorbikes to access the airport and train station after floods cut off roads in that section of the city.
The meteorological department had warned that El Niño rains could hit Kenya and other East African countries from mid-October and cause flooding, infrastructure damage and possible deaths.
