UK to donates Sh800m to boost education, support presidential taskforce on reforms

Following the royal visit by King Charles the 3rd and his queen Camilla The United Kingdom has donated Sh800m to Kenya aimed at boosting quality education, and supporting the presidential task force on reforms.

Speaking after signing a memorandum of understanding that seeks to foster more relation between Kenya and UK  at the  Eastlands Library established in 1969 by the British Council  Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said the Monarch aspire to extend more resource help to Kenya in a mutual benefit  in boosting education between the two counties

“I am delighted to announce a new UK programme to help deliver our aspirations for closer partnerships. We will invest 4.4 million pounds (Sh800 million) to support education reforms including the presidential task force on reforms,” he said.

The Eastlands Library also boasts a collection of approximately 3,000 books, primarily donated by Book Aid International.

His education counterpart Ezekiel Machogu has noted the immense strides Kenya has made attributed to the partnership between Kenya and the United Kingdom that include education sponsorships and grants

Meanwhile King Charles is at the Nairobi Garage where he is meeting entrepreneurs who are showcasing their skills and products in different sectors.

He also toured the City Shamba to witness the vast agricultural reserve in Kenya;s greening ambition and President William Ruto ambitious plan of having a 15 billion tree cover before 2030 and becoming food secure.
