Mudryk open his scoring account with chelsea as they secure second league win

Mykhailo Mudryk scored his first goal for Chelsea as a strike from Armando Broja saw the Blues beat Fulham 2-0 nil last night.

Chelsea’s second league win of the campaign and courtesy of Mudryk who has had a mixed time at Stamford Bridge since signing for £89 m in January from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Fulham did not create much and their best chance came from Sasa Lukic in the second half when his shot from inside the six-yard box was well saved by Robert Sanchez.

Mudryk was withdrawn at half-time with a quad injury but boss Mauricio Pochettino was hopeful the winger would be fit enough to play at Burnley on Saturday.

The result moves Chelsea up to 11th spot with just their second top-flight victory of the season at the seventh time of asking. The Blues are now level on points with a 13th-placed Fulham who are below Pochettino and Co on goal difference.
