The mother of baby Travis Maina, who died at the Kenyatta National Hospital on October 11, with a hoe in his head, is set to face the Senate Health Committee today.
At the Senate, Judy Muthoni will give an account of events that led to the death of her 2-year-old son, who sustained serious injuries after a fork-jembe was lodged in his skull.
The probe by the committee on 35th October will reveal whether the baby’s death was as a result of a delay by KNH in performing an operation to remove the object that was lodged in Baby Travis skull.
Travis’ photos went viral for having a digging hoe lodged in his head died on the evening of October 11, 2022, after allegedly having to wait for too long before receiving emergency treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
According to the two-year-old boy’s mother, the toddler died on the surgeon’s table.
He had been rushed to KNH, the biggest referral hospital in East and Central Africa, after initially being rushed to Thika Level V Hospital.
