The National Assembly Committee on Appointments is set to give a report on the just concluded vetting of Cabinet nominees.
However, there is division in the National Assembly Appointment Committee over the suitability of some of the nominated candidates to the cabinet.
The committee remains jittery about the suitability of 4 nominees, citing intergrity issues.
Among those whose nominations hang in the balance are Gender nominee Aisha Jumwa, Mithika Linturi of Agriculture, Peninah Malonza nominee for Tourism, Zacharia Njeru nominated in the Lands doket and Treasury nominee Njunguna Ndung’u.
This follows completion of the week-long vetting of 24 nominated candidates last week Saturday.
Today, the Moses Wetangula-led committee is expected to table its final report today.
Once tabled, members of the National Assembly have 7 days to debate, approve or disapprove.
