Roles and Functions of the prime CS as stated by president Ruto

President William Ruto yesterday stated the roles and responsibilities of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Among his roles will be to assist the president and his deputy in coordinating and supervising government ministries and state departments.

Additionally, he will chair and Coordinate the National Government legislative agenda across all ministries and state departments for transmission to the Party/Coalition Leaders in Parliament. 

In this role, Mudavadi will also Facilitate inter-ministerial coordination of cross-functional initiatives and programs.

Moreover, the president said the Prime Cabinet Secretary will Facilitate inter-ministerial coordination of cross-functional initiatives and programs.

In addition to this, he has been tasked to coordinate and supervise the technical monitoring and evaluation of Government policies, programs, and projects across Ministries.

Finally, the ANC leader will perform any other function as may be assigned by the President.

According to President Ruto, the ANC leader would now be the third most powerful government official in his administration.

Prime Cabinet Secretary will be Musalia Mudavadi It’s the third most senior after President and DP. I have set out functions for that office. He will assist President and DP in the coordination of govt projects and supervise govt business in all Ministries,” Ruto said.
