Atwoli calls for unity and end of political bickering

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has vowed to support President William Ruto‘s call for unity.

In a statement today, Atwoli emphasizes the importance of the country’s interests as opposed to personal pursuit.

As workers, we support the President’s call for unity and reconciliation as we hope and trust, and call upon, other Kenyans of goodwill to have all hands on deck,” he said.

He further hopes and calls upon other Kenyans of goodwill to support the plea for reconciliation.

The veteran trade unionist cautioned that devoid of unity, workers stand to suffer the consequences of a divided nation.

It is important to note that at any given time when Kenyans have failed to move in one direction, a problem has always occurred and those who have suffered the most have been workers, children and women,” he cautioned.

According to Atwoli, Ruto’s inaugural speech signals hope and should be taken seriously.
