Work to do for Kenya sevens ahead of new season

Kenya sevens coach Damian McGrath has his work cut out for the new season after Shujaa has a dismal performance in the just concluded Rugby sevens world cup in South Africa.

Shujaa finished 12th in the tournament after dropping to the challenge category following a beating in the last 16 by Argentina.

Shujaa were eliminated from cup contention going down 22-7 to Argentina after they had won their first game against Tonga 19-0.

In the challenge semi, the Mc Grath charges were out played by England and were restricted to their own half through out the game.

Shujaa never troubled the young English team following poor ball handling skills and lost 36-0.

McGrath now has slightly under two months to bring in fresh young blood in the team and also convince the players who missed the SA showpiece back in the side.

The new season kicks off in November with the Hong Kong sevens.
