The military officers are furthering their preparations for the transition of powers ceremony, which will see President-elect William Ruto sworn-in to office on Tuesday 13, September 2022.
The officers have been conducting a mock parade and oaths as is expected on the D-day.
This is as this activity which is set to be completed on Monday, will allocate specific duties to specific officers, as well as correct precedent errors on the day.
At the same time, sitting areas have been allocated and invitations sent out.
Moreover, over 45 heads of state have confirmed attending the ceremony.
According to the day’s timetable, citizens attending the event ought to have settled by 10AM, then the Chief Justice Martha Koome is expected to arrive half an hour later, preceded by Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua and finally, the president-elect William Ruto.
