Uganda begins investigations into Sakaja’s degree certificate

The Ugandan government has begun investigations into the degree that Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja claims he earned from Team University.

This is as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations wrote to Uganda’s minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, requesting investigation of the authenticity of Sakaja’s academic qualifications.

Reports from Uganda’s National council of Higher Education indicate that findings would be revealed upon completion of the investigations.

In another revelation however, a former student from Team University denied Sakaja’s graduation with the class of 2016, noting that only 6 students graduated and the senator was not among them.

This comes in the wake of prior revocation of Sakaja’s degree certificate as he sought to be cleared to Nairobi’s top seat.

The IEBC disputes and Resolution committee had dismissed a letter from the Commission For University Education rescinding recognition of Senator Johnson Sakaja’s degree.
