Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance has resolved that, parties within the coalition will consolidate Raila Odinga’s vote basket with 15 million votes so as to clinch the country’s top seat.
While addressing journalists on Friday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has noted that the coalition has directed the national coalition executive committee and the presidential campaign secretariat to report back to the coalition on the data published by the IEBC on the gazette voter register by 28th June.
The coalition has also laid out modalities on how constituent parties will synergise elective positions so as to reap maximally as a coalition party.
In a notice to the coalition, President Uhuru, who is the chairperson to the council, said they will deliberate on different strategies to win the August elections.
He said they seek to review the party’s campaign strategies and plans, to ensure Azimio presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga wins the August Presidential Election.
The meeting has also reviewed, formulated and approved party policies, and discussed the way forward to ensure Azimio wins the majority seats in Parliament and in all 47 county assemblies.
