‘Basmati Babes’ Identified by DCI As Slain Mugo Muvota case Intensifies

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI has unraveled activities of 12 women who are experts in spiking drinks of revelers mainly targeting middle aged to older men, whom they consider wealthy by their type of drinks and dressing.

The investigation has linked the 12 women who have been termed ‘Bamsati babes’ with slain suspected criminal Samuel Mugo Muvota, who built his business empire consisting of real estate properties from proceeds of crime.

DCI added that, Muvota began stealing from victims at ATM’s in various banks, and graduated to a full time criminal, who hired women to drug patrons in various entertainment joints and steal from them.

The investigation further reveals that Mugo always bailed out the women who have since gone into hiding when their activities were discovered.

Though the killing of Mugo at Mirema is still under investigation, a suspect named Dennis Karani has been identified, following stern warnings issued by the DCI to the public.

The detectives have described the suspect as armed and dangerous. Forensic Cyber detectives picked Gachoki’s last signal deep inside burnt forest, hours after the murder and they believe he was looking for a way out of the country. He is said to be in possession of a firearm that was snatched from a police officer at a popular joint in Mombasa in November, 2020.
