Senator Susan Kihika has picked David Kones to deputize her in the Nakuru gubernatorial race.

According to Kihika her decision came after the vetting of at least 16 candidates.

After going through a rigorous exercise, we have nominated David Kones. He will be my running mate for the gubernatorial seat for Nakuru County under UDA and Kenya Kwanza coalition,” she said.

We have been having a few weeks of back and forth interviews and vetting of extremely qualified candidates who had offered to be my running mate.”

David Kones is an educationist from Kiptagich in Kuresoi South as well as a former High School Principal, and a clergyman.

Coincidentally, all Deputy governors in the county since the inception of devolution in 2013 have come from Kuresoi.
