Deputy President William Ruto has welcomed Azimio la Umoja-one Kenya alliance’s exits two of whom are; Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and Kilifi governor Amason Kingi in his Kenya Kwanza outfit, this is Just hours after Mutua left Raila’s Azimio La Umoja coalition.
Through his twitter platform, the second in command lauded the leaders saying their move exhibits rejection to blackmail, deceit and penmanship in the Kenyan politics while at the same time accusing his arch rivals of patronage, force and impunity.
Mutua severed ties with the Azimio la Umoja coalition on Monday, claiming that his party, Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC), had been kept in the dark about the Azimio la Umoja affairs and had yet to access or understand the coalition agreement.
Echoing DP Ruto’s remarks, FORD-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula welcomed Mutua into the Kenya Kwanza camp, saying his inclusion ensures victory in the August elections.
The Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu on Monday morning confirmed that MCC, alongside Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi’s Pamoja African Alliance party (PAA), had written to her office expressing intention to leave the Azimio Coalition.
