OKA parties sign pact ahead of August polls

The One Kenya Alliance principals have signed a pact, officially committing to work under an alliance ahead of the August general election.

The four led by Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka signed the pact at the Wiper’s Command Center in Karen. The deal will allow Kanu’s Gideon Moi, UDP’s Cyrus Jirongo and Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua to officially become part of the alliance.

While signing the deed of agreement, Kalonzo said OKA remains strong even after the departure of ANC and Ford Kenya who joined UDA as Kenyan Kwanza alliance.

He added that OKA will be open for partnership with other political outfits in its bid to capture power come August 9th . NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua said the engagement with OKA does not stop her from talking to the Mount Kenya forum which had earlier come together to consolidate the central Kenya vote.

Word in the street however has that OKA is warming up for Azimio movement after ANC and Ford Kenya moved to UDA and formed the Kenya Kwanza alliance .

The move might be a headache to ODM leader Raila Odinga in picking his running mate but would definitely boost numbers come the general election.
