Starehe MP Jaguar joins UDA

Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua popularly known as Jaguar has formally joined the United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA).

Jaguar was received by the Deputy President William Ruto at his Karen residence in Nairobi.

The artist turned politician will be defending the Starehe seat which he won under the Jubilee party in 2017.

On his twitter handle, the MP noted that the move follows consultations to empower the locals of his constituency.

He further noted that many of them are Small and Medium sized business owners, and Ruto’s bottom up ideology is well fitted for them.

“I feel that working with the Deputy President in his party as he runs for his presidential bid and as he works towards implementing his policies is the best option for my people of Starehe,” said Jaguar.

Jaguar then thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for his support and cordial relationship with the people of Starehe.

“I would like to thank H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta for the good working relationship that we have had over the years. In 2017, we were elected under the Jubilee Party to deliver the manifesto that we had,” he said.

He then assured Starehe locals of more service delivery from his administration if elected into office again, mentioning but a few of his accomplishments.

“As the Member of Parliament for Starehe Constituency, I have done projects through the National Government Constituency Development Fund and Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) including help from other state agencies like KURA, NMS, KPLC, Ministries and others.”

Jaguar is a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Mount Kenya University.
