Nigeria and Egypt qualify as Algeria fight for a place against the Elephants

Nigeria and Egypt are in the last 16 of the AFCON. Nigeria beat Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in to become the only side to win all three group

games. Umar Sadiq opened the scoring shortly after the break following a cross from striker partner Kelechi Iheanacho. Captain William Troost-Ekong sealed the win after tapping into an empty net after fine work by Moses Simon.

Egypt on the other hand managed a one nil win over Sudan to finish second in the group.

Those who have already qualified for the last 16 include hosts Cameroon, Burkina Faso , Senegal , Guinea, Morocco , Gabon , Nigeria and Egypt.

Holders Algeria will need to win tonight against group E table toppers Ivory Coast to have any hope of going through.

The defending champions have one point after one draw against Sierra Leone and a shock loss to Equatorial Guinea. 

The latter have three points and a win against Sierra Leone will earn them qualification.
