The Ethic and anti corruption commission, has cautioned Sirisia MP John Waluke and his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa, against using titles they never earned during their military service.

The EACC has in a penal code guidance said, the lawmakers acted in impersonation  and should fear prosecution. Waluke who is  out on Bail over a 297 million shillings case has severally aliased himself as captain in several forums and parliamentary websites

The letter submitted by EACC boss, Twalib Mbaruk, copied to Speaker Justin Muturi and Clerk Michael Sialai as well as Chief of Defence Forces, General Robert Kibochi, sounds a warning to Barasa telling to cease from using the title.

“This is one of the unfortunate cases of senior state officials impersonating as former senior military officers when they know very well that they never attained those titles,” part of the letter reads.

The commission warned Barasa against giving false information and misleading the public by using the title Captain (Rtd). EACC letter emphasized that its a violation that has been entered into the commission’s database.

The two MPs are close allies of Deputy president William Ruto and have read malice in the move by EACC .
