Jubilee party settles on the Muguga and Kiambaa ward candidates

The Jubilee party says Karanja Kariri Njama will be the flag bearer for the party in the July 15th by election in Kiambaa.

Unveiling the candidate Karanja, Party secretary general Raphael Tuju said Karanja scored the highest in the interview.

“We are glad there are no fallouts after our interviews and hope for the best in the coming by elections,” said Tuju

In Muguga Ward in Kabete  Joseph Githinji will be the jubilee candidate.

Tuju also confirmed that the party opted for interviews for those who expressed interest opposed to a ballot nomination process.

UDA unveiled their candidates for the by-election on Monday.

They were John Njuguna for Kiambaa constituency and Kamau Thumbi for Muguga ward.

Muguga’s by-election comes following the death of Eliud Ngugi.

Kiambaa Constituency lost its MP Paul Koinange to Covid-19 related complications on March 31.
