Acting Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu says all urgent matters of the Naivasha Law Courts will now be directed to Nakuru Law Courts.
This is after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
According to Mwilu, the Courts have 38 Judiciary staff, six judicial officers, and one judge.
Mwilu says, the decision for closure followed an emergency meeting between the Head of Station, Leadership and Management Team and Court User’s Committee at Naivasha Law Courts.
“In light of the above-mentioned developments and the recommendation from the Ministry of Health personnel in Naivasha, we have arrived at the decision to temporarily close the Naivasha Law Courts from Wednesday 31st March 2021” said Mwilu in a statement.
The staff are required to get tested and self-isolate.
They will resume work on 6th of April.
