Equity Group Holdings Managing Director and CEO, Dr. James Mwangi says the bank will support women in business.
As a result, a bulk of the banks guarantee will support women-owned and led MSME’s. Among those to benefit from this regime are those in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and DRC.
In addition to this, Dr. Mwangi says the move aims at giving equal opportunity to men and women without discrimination.
This move follows KEBS’ opening shop in Eldoret to serve more MSME’s.
The youth can access the funds through the Equitel menu, Equity branches, Eazzy Banking app, and through the USSD code by dialing *247#.
