Kenya Records 185 COVID-19 recoveries in last 24 hours

The country has recorded 185 Covid-19 recoveries, with 149 from the Home-Care program, and 36 from different hospitals across the country. The total number of recoveries now stands at 88,781. 

1,064 more people have tested positive for the virus, from a sample size of 6,151 in the last 24 hours. The national confirmed case load now stands at 115,031.

From the new cases reported on Tuesday, 964 are Kenyans while 100 are foreigners.  558 are males while 506 are females and the youngest is a two-year-old child and the oldest is 91.

A total of 104 patients are in ICU, with 25 are on ventilatory support. Separately 25 patients are on supplementary oxygen, out of which 24 are in general wards and one in the HDU.

7 patients have succumbed to the virus, bringing the country’s cumulative fatalities to 1,925.

Meanwhile, the country has already started the rollout of the Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccine across counties.
