Kenya records zero Covid fatalities

February 15th 2021 – Kenya has recorded 242 COVID-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

151 from the Home-Based Isolation and Care and  91 from different hospitals across the country. 

The total recoveries now stand at 85,250. 

However in a statement, the Ministry of health said 147 persons have tested positive to the virus, from a sample size of 2,063 tested. 

The cumulative confirmed positive cases are now 103,014 while the cumulative tests conducted so far are 1, 243,431.

In terms of distribution of the new positive cases in the counties; Nairobi has 51 cases, Kiambu 6, Busia 4, Uasin Gishu, Mombasa and Nyeri have 2 cases each, Garissa, Homa Bay, Kirinyaga, Meru, Nakuru, Nyandarua, Transnzoia and Murang’a have 1 case each.

The ministry also said, 254 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide. 1,227 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care while 34 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit with 15 on ventilatory support and 17 on supplemental oxygen.

Fortunately, there are no reported fatalities and therefore the cumulative fatalities remain 1,795.
