Feb, 8th 2021 – Police officers are searching for the driver and conductor of a matatu from MEMBA SACCO plated KCZ 729C.
The two are said to have allegedly push Judy Wanjiku Nyaga off from the moving vehicle on Saturday evening in Juja from where she instantly died. According to reports, it is alleged that before the incident, they had an altercation over bus fare.
A statement from the National Police Service said the duo are still at large and the vehicle has been detained in Wanguru Police Station in Mwea. The statement on twitter read, “Our attention has been brought to an unfortunate incident where a lady was allegedly pushed out of a moving vehicle in Juja. The vehicle KCZ-729C has been detained in Wanguru Police Station in Mwea.”
The Police also assured that action will be taken against the culprits involved.
Senate Majority Whip Irungu Kang’ata has since condemned the incident and called justice for the deceased who hails from Kiharu Constituency.
He said, “On Saturday 6th February 2021 at around 6.30 pm, she was thrown out of a moving vehicle in Juja and passed on. The driver of MEMBA SACCO KCZ 729C should be arrested NOW!”
