Feb, 4th 2021 – Football Kenya premier league side Wazito FC have signed Ellie Asieche, Erick Otieno, Levis Opiyo and John Odhiambo to bolster their squad for the title push.
Asieche comes from Sofapaka where he has been for a long spell. Otieno joins from Nzoia Sugar FC and Opiyo from Gor Mahia.John Odhiambo was playing for Ushuru who were related two seasons ago.
Wazito are third on the table just three points off the top. They have been on a good run but that has not prevented them from adding more players to widen the selection pool for head coach Francis Kimanzi.
The signing of coach Kimanzi who was formerly with the national team has given the club an impetus to grind results and challenge the likes of Gor Mahia, Tusker Fc, KCB and AFC leopards.
At the top of the table is Tusker Fc with 23 points from ten matches but they have played one more match than second placed KCB who have 22 points.
