NARC to Hold Its NDC Today

The National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) Party, will today hold its National Delegates Conference at the Bomas of Kenya.

The conference which seeks to ratify the decision to join the Azimio la Umoja coalition will bring together party delegates from across the country.

This comes as Party Chairperson Charity Ngilu who is seeking a second term as Kitui Governor, has openly endorsed the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga for the presidency in the August elections.

Ngilu alongside governors Alfred Mutua and Kivutha Kibwana have been leading campaigns for Azimio in the Ukambani region.

The three have also attacked Deputy President William Ruto, claiming he abandoned President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee government to focus on politics.

Last Thursday Ngilu led some women leaders including former CS Sicily Kariuki, Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris and Wajir Woman Rep Fatuma Gedi, in the unveiling of a lobby promising to rally the country behind Odinga’s presidential bid.

Dubbed Azimio Women Movement, the lobby is working towards peaceful campaigns and the unity of the country.

Meanwhile, several parties including Wiper, ANC, KANU and Ford Kenya have already held their NDCs in readiness for the August 9 general elections.

Jubilee and ODM parties will hold their NDCs under the Azimio Movement on 25th and 26th of February 2022.
