Easter at ICC: A Season of Reflection, Unity, and Hope

By Caleb Muoti

This Easter, Christians around the world are coming together to celebrate one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile at the International Christian Centre [ICC] in the heart of Nairobi, thousands gathered — not in mourning, but in deep reflection… and gratitude.

We remember the cross. We remember the sacrifice — the moment when love defeated sin and grace conquered guilt.

Believers have embraced this call, sharing how they are incorporating faith into their celebrations.

‘‘It is important for us as believers to come together in this sacred season,’’ Trials of Heart Cast Wangari Kemboi speaking at the ICC.

‘‘The Lord wants us as Christians to embrace humility and love in this season,’’ Wangari added.

For many, this season is not just a tradition — it’s a personal reminder of renewed purpose, restored hope, and unwavering love.

It’s a time when hearts turn back to God, families are drawn closer, and the true meaning of Easter comes alive in everyday acts of grace and kindness.

From every walk of life, from every corner of the city, believers have come together — united in worship, rooted in faith, and filled with hope.

We are reminded of the darkness that once fell on Calvary – and the hope that followed.

Easter celebrations are not just about mourning, but about victory through sacrifice.
