Gospel minister Kestin Mbogo has received an outpouring of messages of comfort and encouragement after her song ”Sitasahau” was pulled down from YouTube for an alleged copyright claim after it had gained massive traction on the video app.
Making the announcement, Mbogo revealed that a suspected song copywriter copied the entire audio of the song ”Sitasahau” and uploaded it on distribution platforms, then posted it under a different channel and name.
”And today, 26th February 2025, sadly YouTube takes down “Sitasahau” from my YouTube channel and gives me a copyright strike.”
This, Kestin said, was done after she had posted her song and the suspect flagged the song as theirs and gave her 7 days to delete the song from her page.
”Someone goes on to copy the audio of the song, the exact song, 4 minutes of it out of 15min, uploads it on a distribution platform, then posts it under a different channel and name. They do this a month after I’ve posted my song.” Kestin posted
Kestin has however vowed to take legal action against the perpetrator having spent millions in the entire production to reclaim her song and remained confident that the battle is not hers but the Lord’s.
”They give me 7 days to delete MY OWN VIDEO. Of course my legal team and I fight with all evidence accompanying.” The post read.
A host of other gospel ministers have sympathized with her on the incident and prayed for her comfort and peace of mind as she journeys towards regaining the song which has garnered hundreds of thousand of views.
