Speaking in Kisumu where he has begun his grassroot meeting with youth and elderly leaders, Odinga has pledged to “consult wisely” and gather all manner of views as he maps out his next steps.
“I will make an announcement sometime next week; watch this space,” he said
He emphasized that the AU chapter is now behind him and that it is time to move forward.
“I will not confine myself to Nyanza alone. After this, I will visit other parts of Kenya,” he said.
The ODM leader further with party officials in Kisumu county and urged them to strengthen the party’s base ahead of the big announcement.
This follows his high-level meeting with President William Ruto at state house Nairobi where the two leaders addressed various national issues.
Odinga said his consultative meetings would be held across the country including Western, Coast, Central, North Eastern and even Rift Valley regions
