Narc Kenya Officially Bids Farewell to Azimio Coalition

The Narc Kenya National delegates convention has endorsed the party’s exit from the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition after the 90 day Notice period has been fully served .

During the NDC meeting in Nairobi, members resolved that Azimio affiliate parties no longer share a common vision, citing ODM’s decision to join the broad-based government.

“The NDC has given us the mandate to exit Azimio,” Karua affirmed, adding that the move marks a critical step in redefining the party’s independence and direction.

Party leader Martha Karua affirmed that Narc Kenya is gearing up for the 2027 presidential elections, with plans for a complete party overhaul, including a name change, new symbol, and revised party colors.

“I want to thank the NDC for giving the leadership of NARC Kenya the mandate to rebrand the party in readiness for 2027,” Karua stated. As part of this rebranding effort, the party has resolved to change its official colors from green and red to purple and white.

The resolution now  awaits formal action from the Registrar of Political Parties.

The NDC also approved a nationwide membership recruitment drive to strengthen the party’s grassroots networks ahead of the next election cycle.
