Parents of victims of the Hillside Endarasha academy fire have pleaded with the government to fast track the DNA matching process as they streamed in the Naro Moru level 4 county referral hospital to submit DNA samples
Speaking to the media, the parents have urged for a quick process as they seek to find closure in the devastating ordeal that claimed the lives of up to 21 boys last week.
“We are asking the government to look at our situation and hasten the process to a maximum of three days not three weeks as state” one of the parents commented
Up to 30 parents are already lined up at the hospital in the exercise set to be conducted by the chief government pathologist Johnasen Oduor.
Chief Government pathologist Johannsen Oduor has said the national chemist is well prepared as most of the pupils were burnt beyond recognition thus the DNA sampling ahead of their autopsy is set to start Tuesday.
Philip Nzenge from the directorate of children protection in the ministry of labor has urged parents with any details of the missing boys to use the national children toll free number as they pitch tent at the hospital offer psychosocial support
