President William Ruto has nominated Dorcas Oduor as the new Attorney General and Beatrice Askul Moe as cabinet nominee to the Ministry of East African Community Affairs (EAC) and Regional Development.
Oduor is currently the Secretary of Public Prosecutions and the Principal Deputy to the DPP at the ODPP
On her part, Beatrice Askul was a member of the ODM party’s National Elections Coordinating Committee, a three-member entity tasked with coordinating the party’s elections to end the culture of selling tickets to the highest bidders.
“His Excellency the President has transmitted the nomination for appointment to Cabinet to the National Assembly for consideration and approval in fulfilment of the legal requirements set out under our nation’s supreme law,” Head of Public Service Felix Koskei said in a statement.
The two slots were the only ones pending to be filled since the President started reconstituting his cabinet.
Their names will be submitted before the national assembly for vetting set to begin this Thursday
