The Jubilee Christian Church has called for a marathon of services from Wednesday to Saturday in honor of its founder and overseer Bishop Allan Kiuna.
Bishop Kiuna succumbed to a fierce battle with cancer while receiving treatment from the Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday.
In statement to newsrooms, Wednesday to Friday services will be held from 5pm to 7pm at the JCC church in Parklands, whereas the Saturday service will be from 2pm
This will be followed with a culmination of a special worship service on Sunday to honor the times of the minister who has been widely revered as dedicated and unwavering in his faith
“We welcome you to join us in praying for the family and church at large,” JCC said.
An outpouring of condolences messages from the church and the political class continue to stream in with the shocking passing of Bishop Kiuna.
Among the leaders who sent condolences was Music Copyright Society of Kenya CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua.
“Bishop Allan Kiuna preached with zeal, power, and conviction and did not hold back even in the face of criticism. His powerful sermons and transformative leadership made JCC a global brand. He has touched so many people with the power of his faith. He served his purpose in his generation and has rested from the scourge of cancer. My sincere condolences to Rev. Kathy and the entire family, the JCC fraternity, and the church at large. May Bishop’s soul rest in peace,” Mutua said.
Bishop Kiuna had been open about his struggle with cancer since December 2023, when he revealed that he had spent nearly a year in the United States undergoing treatment, which cost approximately Sh 384 million
